The First Austin Vegan Drinks Event! (Thurs., Jan. 7, 2010)
On Thurs., Jan. 7, Compassion Over Killing and VegAustin.com hosted the first Austin Vegan Drinks—and it was a huge success! With Vegan Drinks events taking place all across the country, we thought Austin should have one of its own! In celebration, over 30 people came out for the premiere event to share drinks, meet new friends, and do a little networking at the Ginger Man Pub in downtown Austin.
Throughout the evening compassionate people from all over Austin enjoyed drinks (alcoholic and non), vegan pizza from East Side Pies, raffle prizes, and great company.
In addition to all this, Austin Vegan Drinks launched its logo competition and needs your help choosing the look of Austin Vegan Drinks! By voting, you will automatically be entered to win a prize! The new logo will be unveiled at the next Austin Vegan Drinks in February—stay tuned for details!
Thank you to everyone who came out for the first Vegan Austin Drinks! And an extra special thank you to Corina at the Ginger Man Pub for hosting this event and to Daniela Nunez, VegAustin’s Volunteer Outreach Coordinator, for making this event happen!
