Austin Vegan Drinks, the Vegan Yacht, Cheer Up Charlies!
On Thurs., May 20, Compassion Over Killing and VegAustin.com hosted a vegan drinks event at Cheer Up Charlie's—and it was so much fun!
Over 30 vegans, vegetarians, and the veg-curious came out to socialize, network, enjoy delicious vegan food and have a good time. The highlight of the evening was the discovery of a brand new vegan food cart in Austin: the Vegan Yacht. Offering seitan quesadilla with Daiya cheese, mock chicken sandwiches, smoothies, and even beet brownies, the opening of the Vegan Yacht was welcome news.
VegAustin.com Coordinator, Daniela Nunez also said a few words about the new Vegetarian Guide to Austin, and tabling at the Austin Pride Festival.
It was a great evening to enjoy the weather, the food, the drinks, and the company!
